How Recipients are Chosen

The bursaries are given out based on academic merit. Each year we choose around twelve candidates to receive a bursary from the Highlands and Islands Educational Trust. In the application we ask you to provide your 5th year results and state that we will be in touch with your school to find out your 6th year results. We use the UCAS points scoring system to rank students based on their results and the top twelve are chosen.
