ABOUT US

The Highlands and Islands Educational Trust is governed by the Education (Scotland) Act 1962 and the Highlands and Islands Educational Trust Scheme 1969. Each year the Governors of the Trust award bursaries to pupils who are living in the Highlands and Islands area and who are about to embark on courses of Higher or Further Education.

Bursaries are awarded on academic merit and are judged primarily on the results of the applicant’s SQA examinations.
